We’ve been calling it Moto X 2017 for a long time or just a new Moto X but one of the leaks it suffered during the month of May finally revealed its official name. Following the pattern of other Motorola ranges in the Lenovo catalog, the future Moto X phone would be called Moto X4, and now we have new information to mentally compose which phone we will find.
The phone was already hinted at when a Motorola internal slide was unveiled during a private presentation. In it was placed the Moto X as part of the line known as Unlimited perfection and was ahead that would have 5.2 inches FullHD, with 3D glass and something known as SmartCam. Now the information is complete and we even know when it will hit the market.
Do not expect the Moto X4 until the end of the year
It is undoubtedly the worst news that could accompany this new leak. According to information from the environment of Chinese manufacturer Lenovo, the Moto X4 will not debut until the end of this year 2017 . Its arrival is planned for the Christmas shopping season so it would be logical to see it presented between October and November and not reach the market until December.
Other data now unveiled on the future Moto X4 talk about its processor, which will be the recently introduced Snapdragon 630 from Qualcomm, eight cores running at 2.2GHz and 1.8GHz, and this data sheds even more light. We already know that the Moto X4 will have an X12 modem for LTE, which will be compatible with Bluetooth 5.0 and will have Quick Charge 4.0. The graph in this case will be the Adreno 508.
The Snapdragon 630’s double-lens mount also makes sense when the filtration speaks of a dual camera for the Moto X4 back. Specifically, 12 and 8 megapixels for the main camera of a terminal that we do not know if it will be used for selective blur, zoom or other purposes. As for the selfies, 16 megapixels not to miss detail.
This future Moto X4 will also be dust and water resistant with the IP68 certification, so it is discarded since it can have a removable battery but it will have a slot for the microSD and thus complement the memory set of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Of course, the fingerprint reader mounted on the front of the device will not be missing.
As the last filtered detail, the fingerprint sensor will be able to recognize gestures, something that Meizu’s touch-sensitive readers have long incorporated and will offer a more interactive mode with the terminal. Surely we will continue to receive information from here at its launch, we will be attentive to any remarkable feature.
