New York Governor Kathy Hochul Announce Tests Positive For Covid-19 With Asymptomatic

New York Governor Kathy Hochul announces on her Twitter that she tests positive for COVID-19 late Sunday.

This week, Kathy Hochul spent time in New York City, appearing at an event Friday with New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, who tested positive for COVID-19 in late March.

However, COVID-19 positive cases have increased in both New York City and the state.

The most recent date for which is publicly available says that More than 9,900 people in the state tested positive on Saturday. Also, Thursday had the most positive results in the state since late January, with 13,902 positive cases reported.

As of Saturday reports, the week average positivity rate of the state was 7.2%, up from 7% the previous week.

82% of New York’s total population has received at least one dose of the vaccine in the state, and 74.2% have got fully vaccinated in the state, according to public data.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul advised New Yorkers to continue to get vaccinated and take precautions to stop the spread of COVID-19.
