A United States Senate titan and former Democratic leader, Harry Reid, died at 82 after stepping out of poverty to represent Nevada for decades. And help push through landmark legislation, including the Health Care Act at a low price.

Landra Reid, Harry’s wife, announced about her husband’s death news in a statement.

She said that the news broke her heart to announce the passing of her husband, former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. After a courageous four-year fight with pancreatic cancer, he died peacefully this afternoon, surrounded by our family.

Harry Reid did his services from 1987 to 2017 as a senator and from 2007 to 2015 a majority leader.

In a statement, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, DN.Y., named Reid’s predecessor as one of the most wonderful people chuck has ever met.

Schumer said that Harry Reid never forgot where he came from, and Reid used to fight for the poor and the middle class heroically with who hurt them. He is gone now, but he will always walk alongside many of us in the Senate every day.

After hearing that Harry Reid died at 82 news, many of his followers, supporters, and the public expressed their sadness and paid condolences.
