Sylvester Stallone Is Planning To Make Creed 2 In Under His Direction

The creator of Rocky, Sylvester Stallone, just finished writing the script of the film and it seems that the sequel, ” Creed 2′, will start shooting in February 2018. The good news is that the very Stallone will direct the tape.

Many had assumed that, given Creed’s success, director Ryan Coogler would return. However, he’s been busy filming Black Panther for Marvel and it looks like he’s not going to be able to get back for Creed 2 in time. So Sylvester Stallone, the man who built the franchise with his blood, sweat, and tears, will be behind the camera once more. That means Stallone will write, produce, direct and act in the film with Michael B. Jordan.

It may be a shame for many that Coogler is not leading, but Stallone is more than qualified. He directed Los Indestructibles and a couple of other projects over the years; so even if you do not think of Stallone as a director, he has been very successful in doing so.

Creed took a lot of people by surprise in 2015. The film was not only a box office hit, with $ 173.5 million worldwide, but it was also a great critical success, with Sylvester Stallone getting a nomination for the Academy for Best Supporting Actor.

So Creed 2 always felt inevitable, just took time to make it happen. The film does not currently have a release date, but that information should come very soon.
